Marketing your HVAC shop can be tough. And complicated . And expensive. There are so many big things to think about: customer service, search engine optimization, Google Adsand algorithms, social media , and on and on. Foundational to all of that stuff, though, is how you talk about your business on a day-to-day basis. It’s one thing to say, “I do HVAC work.” It’s quite another to say, “I provide expert HVAC services to people who want to protect their home investment without getting ripped off.”
The bottom line is words matter. Obviously, there are lots of opportunities to use them well—websites, social media, advertisements, and so on. Today, I want to focus on a tiny little collection of words: your slogan . Slogans can be a useful marketing strategy when you need to share something about your company in a very small space. Your service vans are an obvious place to put your slogan, but you can also include it on your business cards, in your email signature, and on promotional giveaways.
To be honest, it’s easier to write a page full of sentences than it is to dream up a really great slogan. Boiling something down into just a handful of words requires both clarity and creativity. When it comes to slogans, it’s helpful to focus on one goal: Make it about a benefit of doing business with you—even if that’s just an implied benefit. For example, rather than writing, “Tulsa’s best HVAC shop,” use, “Tulsa’s best HVAC shop since 1978.” The implied benefit? That shop’s been around a long, long time and must do a great job to have lasted so long.
Here’s a list of 36 HVAC slogan ideas. Please keep in mind that some of these might be trademarked, so don’t just swipe one without doing some research. (Legals fees are no fun, and neither is peeling vinyl lettering off your vans.) Here goes:
There are over 400,000 HVAC contractors operating in the United States alone, and especially if you're in a dense metro area, you definitely need to be able to differentiate yourself from the competition. Is your shop known for the best customer service in town? Are you known for having the lowest prices a customer can find? Whatever that makes your company unique from the competition- and valuable to your customers- make sure your slogan focuses on that.
As we've said before, your job is tough. You deal with customers who can be extremely difficult (you know the ones), you work 24/7, 365 in all kinds of awful weather, and you're always feeling like your competition is gunning for you. If you think about it, it's pretty easy for your team (you know: the guys on the front lines?) to start feeling unappreciated and undervalued. Sometimes, a great tag line or company motto can do just the trick to keep your team motivated an engaged. Consider using a slogan that'd make Braveheart proud.
Sometimes, you'll have the opportunity to co-market yourselves with a larger brand. For instance, you may have an exclusive agreement with Trane that let's you borrow their slogan. For some shops, this is a great way to help set yourself apart and borrow the reputation that a stronger brand has already built. There could be a downside, however: when people see your motto, you run the risk of becoming swallowed up by the bigger fish. Pick and choose when this strategy makes sense for you.
Of course, a fantastic slogan isn’t the magic bullet for getting noticed and getting more jobs. Need help putting together a comprehensive marketing plan for your shop? Let’s talk . The first call’s on me.

When my team talks with new clients, we hear a ton of frustration, overwhelm, and general fed-up-ness.
I'm guessing you can relate.
Maybe you've been trying to figure out all this marketing stuff on your own OR you've handed a crap-ton of money to an "expert" for no apparent reason.
Your phones still aren't ringing like they should.
Your advertising still isn't performing like you expected.
Your website's still not ranking or converting like it needs to.
You can't figure out why... and/or your current marketing "partner" isn't 'fessing up.
We think you deserve better.
